Where are you based out of?

Volt Host operates out of Toronto, Canada.

What are your operating hours?

Billing and sales operates from 9-5PM Monday to Friday EST time.

All other support is provided on a 24/7 by staff around the world.

Do you do sponsorships?

If you currently maintain a large community, social media account or high traffic website, we are willing to work out a sponsorship.

Please do not contact us unless you have one of the following:
- A community consisting of an online message board system (forums) with 20,000+ members (at least 2000 active)
- A SA:MP server with an active online community (forums) and 200+ players per day
- A Minecraft server with an active online community (forums) and 50+ players per day
- A Twitter account with 10,000+ followers related to the gaming or hosting industry
- A YouTube channel with 1,000+ subscribers related to the gaming or hosting industry
- A Facebook page with 10,000+ likes / members related to the gaming or hosting industry
- A high traffic website which is PR 3 or greater and receives at least 1,000 visitors daily.

Otherwise, we do not offer any form of sponsorship.

Do you offer free services?

No, we do not.

Billing / Sales

Which methods of payment do you accept?

We accept PayPal, OneBip and Western Union payments. If you wish to pay / deposit with PayPal or OneBip, you can do so automatically via the order and deposit forms. If you wish to pay / deposit with Western Union, please open a support ticket to get a transaction setup manually by billing staff.

All major credit cards, bank transfers, cash transfers and mobile phone payments are accepted via these merchants.

Do you have a refund policy?

We do not offer refunds on any payment transactions. All game servers and web hosting services hosted by us can be cancelled at any time in exchange for a pro-rata refund (ie, if you use 10 days, you only pay for 10 days), back into your Volt Host credit, which can be used to purchase other services.

Can I withdraw funds?

We do not allow withdrawal of account funds.

I paid but my transaction isn't showing up.

Please open a support ticket at your earliest convinience with billing, we will have it sorted for you immediately.

How do donations work?

The donations feature serves as a form of payment gateway or clanpay for your account. Any outside user (no Volt Host account is required) can donate to your account via PayPal or OneBip. 100% of this transaction is added to your Volt Host funds, and you don't need to worry about PayPal / OneBip verification procedures, fees or withdrawal times :)

Web Hosting

Which control panel do you use?

We operate all of our servers off the latest stable version of cPanel X with the Fantastico script installer.

Where are your web servers hosted?

All of our web servers are currently hosted out of the Swift Drive facility in Chicago, USA with a 100% network uptime SLA.

Can you install a custom module for me?

If there is a stable version available, support should be able to install any module required for you, simply open a support ticket to have it setup :)

Do you allow adult content?

As long as the adult content is legal according to US law, you are free to host it on our network.

Do you provide SSH / FTP access?

SSH / FTP access is provided with all of our web hosting plans by default.

Do you place any limits on domains, dbs, etc

We do not place any limits on databases, email accounts, mailing lists, or domains. It's 2012, there's no need to place a limit on such things :)

Game Servers

What specifications are servers hosted on?

We run all servers off Nehalem or Sandy Bridge Intel processor chip architectures with between 8 and 48GB of RAM per server running on either SuperMicro or Dell PowerEdge builds. Servers range between SATA-II, Velociraptor SAS and SSD drives depending on their primary sales point.

We employ a combination of Pingdom, ServerDensity and a customer backend monitoring system to monitor and retain the health of our systems.

Which operating system do you run?

All of our servers run off of Linux CentOS 5.

Where can I get a game server?

We host servers out of the following locations:

(US) Chicago
(US) Arizona
(US) New York
(FR) Roubaix
(UK) Kent/London
(CA) Montreal

If you desire one of these locations and it is not available on the order form, please contact us and we will see if we can get you located on one of our nodes in the listed locations :)

Do you provide databases?

We provide unlimited MySQL databases with all game servers which can be setup via the control panel

Do you provide FTP Access?

We provide unlimited FTP access and accounts which can be easily created and modified via our control panel.

Can I run custom plugins on your servers?

Yes, we do not limit any plugins on our network.

(MC) Do you support CraftBukkit?

We support both CraftBukkit directly via our one click plugin installer. You can additionally run any minecraft_server.jar file on our system.

How do I activate the free web hosting?

In your game server control panel under the 'Server Information' heading, there is a label 'Free web hosting'. Beside it, there should be a link that says 'Setup hosting', click it to start the setup process.

In the domain box, enter in your currently registered domain name, and press setup to complete the process. Within 5 minutes, the web hosting account will be setup and should be accessible via cPanel X information provided to you via e-mail and can be controlled via our central panel under the "Web Hosting" tab.
